INT. MINOS - DAEDALUS'S QUARTERS - NIGHT
Daedalus steps into the pool, on the outermost rim so only his ankles are submersed. He looks down and sees his reflection in the water. Ripples of light swim across his face and glint upon his eyes.
INT. A PUB - (120 years previous) NIGHT
Jupiter and Minerva sit at a booth with several others, their close friends and colleagues: Hermes (twenty-two), Vulcan (twenty-four), Apollo (twenty-one), and Pluto (thirty). Notably, Poseidon is absent. They are drinking pitchers of beer. All are in a celebratory mood, The Ether has just been patented under the name of their new corporation: Olympus.
He wants to transfer his mind into it, the Ether. He wants to find a way to live forever within it. Fucking crazy if you ask me.
INT. MINOS - DAEDALUS'S QUARTERS - NIGHT
Daedalus dons the mask and looks like a strange alien being. He steps further into the pool and is soon lost from view. Icarus stands next to the pool, alone, looking down into it. The light ripples across his face now.
INT. THE ETHER - MINOS'S REALM - DAY
Daedalus stands on a green hill overlooking the ethereal version of Minos. He is clothed in ancient greek attire. We see various buildings, including a temple rising up from the east. It has four stepped sides of stone.

ICARUS
What happened to their bodies?
DAEDALUS
It is rumored that each achieved a state of sublimation while immersed. They did not reveal their technique, and have kept it a secret ever since. It is, of course, highly sought after. No doubt Minos themselves are attempting to divine a means to, for it would be extremely profitable; though the Gods would not take very kindly to losing their royal status.
ICARUS
Humans ... want to live forever?
DAEDALUS
Most of them do, yes.
